...I saw this. I wanted to take more pictures, but there was a OSHP cruiser at my 7:00 (one of six I saw on I-71 in 40 miles).

Yesterday I saw one of those sitting on the side of the highway here in St. Louis with one of those abandoned vehicle stickers on it. the driver's front tire was off, and the car was resting on it.

Drove from Dayton to Columbus Friday evening and saw 14 state troopers, most I've ever seen on that drive.

I've done that drive a bunch, never saw more than 2 or 3 I don't think.
This was between I-76 at Lodi and US-30 near Mansfield.

No doubt the spare was flat. Have you ever seen the system in a Beetle that pumps water so you can wash your windshield? Rather than using any kind of mechanical or electrical pump there's just a tube that goes from your spare tire to the tank; the air pressure in the tire pushes the water out So every time you squirt the windshield you deflate your spare just a little bit. I think the idea is you're supposed to carry a tire pump in case you ever do need to use the spare, not that they ship the car with a tire pump.

That doesn't seem like a wise design at all.
